Walnut Cutting Board

Crafted in Japan, this walnut cutting board is designed by Shibata Takayuki, the founder of Shibata Knives. Built from individually cut square blocks, each piece is compressed and bonded to form a single surface. By pressing the blocks together with specialized machinery, the board achieves a higher level of density and structural strength. As a result, the surface is more resistant to warping and cracking.

The end-grain construction reveals a distinctive pattern and no two boards are exactly alike.

Each board is checked for weight and balance and has beeswax applied to protect the wood. Wood cutting boards are well known for being forgiving on knife edges and will not dull your knives.
