This handheld sharpener by Takeda is easy to use and sharpens knives quickly and effectively. Simply soak the stone for 30 seconds in water. Then, lay your knife flat on a cutting board placed diagonally with the blade edge just over the edge of the board. Simply, run the stone back and forth across the knife edge to regain your edge. The black side of the stone is a medium grit and the white is a fine grit. Flip the knife over to sharpen the other side for double edged knives. Grip the top of the stone when using, as the wood handle is to protect your wrist, not for gripping. Detailed diagrams and instructions are included in the package.
